Leadership team will focus on continuing campaign growth, grassroots mobilization of over 4.5 million, and efforts to take back U.S. House of Representatives in November

(SAN FRANCISCO, February 8, 2018)— Need to Impeach Founder Tom Steyer today announced that he has hired an experienced political team—including political and communications strategists—to lead the campaign that now has nearly 4.6 million supporters calling on Congress to impeach Donald Trump.

The team, including 50 staff members, is adding thousands of new supporters to the impeachment movement each day, creating a digital army of activists who are mobilizing to take back the House of Representatives in the 2018 election and remove Trump from power. The campaign, which Steyer announced in Oct. 20, 2017 through television and social networking ads, has become a political force, with political strategists calling the digital army a formidable tool that could shape American politics.

“Our campaign has entered a new phase of social impact,” said Steyer. “The team that I have put together will lead one of the largest political engagement initiatives in recent memory, mobilizing supporters to elect public officials who are willing to put country over party. The Need to Impeach team gets it done. They are practical, effective, and they are consumed with representing the will of the American people.”
