Thirty-second ad will run nationwide and in select markets starting March 11

(San Francisco, March 13, 2018)—Need to Impeach Founder Tom Steyer announced today that his first Spanish-language commercial calling for Donald Trump’s impeachment will begin airing nationwide today. Watch the ad here.

This is Steyer’s seventh commercial since launching the Need to Impeach movement in October 2017. More than 5 million people have since joined the movement, creating a digital army that political strategists call one of the most formidable political tools in the Democratic party.

The ad features members of the Latino community living in the U.S. and highlights Trump’s impeachable offenses, including receiving money from foreign governments, threatening media outlets, and for bringing the country to the brink of nuclear war.

“Everyday that Donald Trump is in office is another day that our democracy and our people are under his attack,” said Steyer. “He demonized and disparaged the entire Latino community before he even stepped into the White House. Now, his racist agenda is dividing our country and eroding our core values. He must be stopped, and we need to work together to demand that our elected Democratic and Republican leaders hold him accountable once and for all. The soul of our country is at stake.”

This week Steyer embarks on a series of town halls across the country to make the case to impeach Trump. The 30 town halls will kick off  with two events in Ohio, followed by events in the Washington D.C. area on March 20. Other upcoming events will be held in New York on April 2, Oakland, CA on April 11, and Atlanta on April 19. The campaign will soon announce additional trips to Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Minnesota, Nevada, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, and Wisconsin.

So far, the Need to Impeach commercials have reached more than 2 billion viewers through television and more than 454 million through social media.
