Watch: Foreign spending at Trump properties is more than a conflict of interest
Donald Trump met with American Petroleum Institute’s executive board at the White House. Where were these oil lobbyists staying in Washington?
At the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C., of course. They spent thousands of dollars there for a two-day board for more than 200 members.
Think Trump was receptive to the lobbyists who just spent thousands at his hotel?
Watch: Trump has repeatedly engaged in pay-to-play corruption
Pay to Play
From his cabinet to his ambassadors to his executive staff, Donald Trump has all but officially established “pay to play” as official White House policy, receiving money in exchange for access and policy influence. That decisions he makes as president are being influenced by personal monetary gain is scary and antithetical to the Constitution.
