“He’s working hard, he’s learning the subject matter. He’ll get his facts straight,” Trump said.

“My issue is getting up to speed on the facts here. I’m about halfway there,” Giuliani said.

George Stephanopoulos asked Giuliani, “The president does acknowledge meeting Stormy Daniels, correct?”

Giuliani responded, “Gee, George. I’m not really involved in the Daniels thing. So I don’t–I don’t know.”

Stephanopoulos: “But you acknowledge that Michael Cohen would tell the president, ‘This is what it’s for’?”

Giuliani: “There were, though, things involved that had nothing to do with Stormy Daniels. In other words, other amounts of money. This was not uncommon for him to do that.”

Stephanopoulos: “If you have evidence that proves he doesn’t tell the truth, then the president didn’t tell the truth.”

Giuliani: “..Eh, no. People do things like… lie. People lie.”
