Despite threats from Donald Trump, Republicans won’t vote on a bill to protect Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

“I don’t see any need to bring up legislation to protect someone who appears to need no protection,” said Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY).

“I don’t think there’s a need for legislation right now to protect Mueller,” said Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA).

“I received assurances that his firing is not even under consideration,” said House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI).

He certainly believes he has the power to [fire Mueller],” said Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

“Why don’t I just fire Mueller? We’ll see what happens,” Trump said.

Call your senator. Ask them to support a Mueller protection bill.
