Watch: Is Michael Cohen Trump’s lawyer or his henchman?

Donald Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen has a history of making vicious threats.

In 2015, The Daily Beast brought to light an old anecdote in which Trump’s ex-wife Ivana had accused him of marital rape (a claim she later backed away from). Cohen threatened The Daily Beast, saying,

I will make sure that you and I meet one day while we’re in the courthouse. And I will take you for every penny you still don’t have. And I will come after your Daily Beast and everybody else that you possibly know. So I’m warning you, tread very fucking lightly, because what I’m going to do to you is going to be fucking disgusting. You understand me?

He also argued that you can’t legally rape a spouse, which had not been law in over 30 years.

The Harvard Lampoon comedy magazine pranked Trump in the summer of 2015. Cohen called up one of the students and threatened him. The student said,

It was terrifying. He asked me to send my Harvard ID so he could have my identity, my information … And I sent it right away. I was so afraid that if I didn’t he might actually be crazy enough to fly up here.”

Before Cohen finalized the hush money payment to Stormy Daniels over her affair with Trump, somebody threatened her. Daniels said,

A guy walked up on me and said to me, ‘leave Trump alone. Forget the story.’ And then he leaned around and looked at my daughter and said, ‘that’s a beautiful little girl. It’d be a shame if something happened to her mom.’ And then he was gone.

Cohen has previously said, “If you do something wrong. I’m going to come at you, grab you by the neck and I’m not going to let you go until I’m finished.”
