A high-power, high-profile addition to the President’s personal legal team. He is Rudy Giuliani.
Trump and Giuliani known each other for 30 years. Trump was the co-chair of Giuliani’s first major campaign fundraiser in 1989. Trump also fundraised for Giuliani’s campaigns in 2000 and 2007.
Giuliani supported Trump’s nomination in 2016. And has defended Trump’s behavior at every turn.
At one point, Giuliani was even considered for Secretary of State in Trump’s cabinet. Now, Giuliani has been brought onto Trump’s legal team to combat Robert Mueller’s investigation. But he hasn’t gotten off to the best start.
