There’s a Russia story you haven’t heard of yet. It’s about Alexander Torshin, the deputy governor of Russia’s central bank.
He’s an outspoken gun rights activist in Russia … and an alleged member of the mafia, wanted for money laundering in Spain.
He also helped use Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA) for Russian interests.
He is a lifetime NRA member. In 2015, he helped Trump ally David Clarke and an NRA delegation meet with Russia’s deputy Prime Minister.
Now, he is under investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller for laundering Russian money into the NRA.
During the 2016 NRA convention, Torshin tried to arrange a meeting between Putin and Trump. While he was there, Trump avoided an event because of Torshin. So he had to settle for meeting Donald Trump Jr. at the NRA convention.
Days later, NRA member Paul Erickson offered to set up a backchannel for Trump and Putin. Weeks after those requests, Jared Kushner, Trump Jr., and Paul Manafort met with two Russian lobbyists in Trump Tower.
What did Alexander Torshin do … and why aren’t we talking about it?

Organized Crime
The web of Donald Trump’s connections to organized crime is alarming and goes back decades. From Russian mobsters and convicted drug traffickers to multimillion-dollar money laundering schemes and bank fraud, his history of criminal associates puts him — and the country — at risk.
